As GSA we establish robust requirements for the monitoring of the tailings facilities, assisting management and the operations to minimize the risk of failure by maintaining an informed knowledge base. We understand that Facilities are dynamic engineered structures and we strive to demonstrate the ability to upgrade the facility to a higher consequence classification or, where this is not feasible, reduce the risk of potential failure.
Global Standards Africa and Global Standards South Africa, make use of state of the art drones and software, such as the Phantom 4 and Matrice 300 RTK drones.
Full solution for any surveying, mapping or inspection workflow. Compact, durable and accurate low altitude mapping. Built-in flight planning app (GS RTK) and an easy method to collect RTK data (RTK Network or D-RTK 2 Mobile Station).
GSA make use of the Phantom 4 RTK for all their mapping missions. The Phantom 4 RTK is the most compact and accurate low altitude mapping solution.
Capture the best image data with a 1-inch, 20-megapixel CMOS sensor. Mechanical shutter makes mapping missions or regular data capture seamless as the Phantom 4 RTK can move while taking without risk or rolling shutter blur. Due to the high resolution, the Phantom 4 RTK can achieve a ground sample distance of 2.7cm at 100m flight altitude.
GSA support their Phantom 4 RTK missions with the D-RTK 2 Mobile Station, providing real-time data to the drone and forming an accurate surveying solution, or acquire accurate location coordinates when used as an RTK rover. The Mobile Station ensures that you gain centimetre-level accurate data
with your Phantom 4 RTK in any
conditions.
Fitted with a Zenmuse L1 Livox Lidar and P1 Photogrammetry cameras to give you real-time 3D data throughout the day, efficiently capturing the
details of complex structures and delivering highly accurate reconstructed models and images.
The P1 includes a full-frame low, -noise high-sensitivity sensor that can take a photo every 0.7s during the flight and covering a 3 km2 in a single flight.
Equipped with a global mechanical shutter and the all-new TimeSync 2.0 system, which synchronises time across modules at the microsecond level, the ZenmuseP1 lets users capture centimetre-accurate data combined with the real time position and orientation compensation technology.
Create 2D, 3D, and detailed models thanks to the integrated 3-axis gimbal that can be outfitted with 24/35/50mm lenses and the Smart Oblique feature.
Generate true-colour point cloud models in real-time or acquire 2km2 of point cloud data in a single flight using the Livox frame Lidar module with a 70o FOV and a visible light camera with a 1-inch sensor.
Render centimetre-accurate reconstructions thanks to the high accuracy IMU, a vision sensor for positioning accuracy, and the incorporation of GNSS data.
The IP54 rating allows the L1 to be operated in a rainy or foggy environments. The Lidar module’s active scanning method enables you to fly at night.
TRAIN TO OPERATE focusing on guidance, support, monitoring and excecution to conform to Global standards.
Founded by the requirement for Global Standard Operational management for tailings dams, GS Tailings established focus on; Monitoring, Operational training, Management support, Transferring knowledge and general assistance in conforming to global standards.
